Canadian Prime Minister: Enemy must resume electricity supplies to Gaza
[13/ March/2025]
Ottawa - Saba:
New Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called on the Zionist enemy to resume electricity supplies to Gaza after the Netanyahu government previously announced a power cut to the Strip.

In a statement published on the "X" platform on Wednesday evening, Carney called for the continued provision of "essentials" and their entry into the Gaza Strip.

He noted that "more than two days have passed since the power outage in Gaza," adding that "electricity supplies must resume—essentials, including food, electricity, and medical supplies, should never be used as political tools."

Carney emphasized that "Canada is working with its allies to uphold international law to promote sustainable peace and security in the Middle East and to support full access to humanitarian aid for Palestinian families."

He concluded his message by calling for pressure to "complete the ceasefire agreement." Carney's statement calling for the enemy to resume supplies to Gaza comes after his election as leader of the Canadian Liberal Party last Sunday, replacing former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who resigned in January.
