Doha - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" announced on Friday that its delegation headed by leader Khalil al-Haya headed to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to follow up on the developments of the ceasefire agreement negotiations.

The movement said in a statement, "The movement's negotiating delegation headed by Khalil al-Haya headed to Cairo to meet with Egyptian officials , follow up on the developments of the negotiations file and the ceasefire agreement."

Today, Hamas said that its leadership delegation received yesterday a proposal from the mediators to resume ceasefire negotiations in Gaza Strip, "and it dealt with the proposal responsibly and positively, noting that it delivered its response to it at dawn today."

It added that the response included agreeing to the release of the Zionist soldier Aidan Alexander, who holds American citizenship, in addition to the bodies of four other dual nationals.

Hamas emphasized its full readiness to start negotiations and reach a comprehensive agreement on the issues of the second phase, calling for obliging the Zionist enemy to fully implement its commitments.
