General Authority for Antiquities calls on Interpol to stop sale of Yemeni artifacts offered at liveauctioneers
[14/ March/2025]
Sana'a - Saba:

The General Authority for Antiquities called on Friday international organizations and Interpol to intervene to stop the sale of Yemeni artifacts offered at liveauctioneers, expected to be sold this month.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Authority indicated that its tracking and monitoring team found these artifacts for sale, considering this a violation of Yemen's rich cultural heritage.

It called on these organizations and agencies to assume their moral and legal responsibilities and cooperate with efforts to protect Yemeni heritage, as it is part of the world's cultural heritage, and to stop these crimes that do not expire with time.

The Authority called on anyone with any information about looted antiquities and sites to contact the Authority via email: info@goam.gov.ye.

The statement indicated that the link to the auction where these artifacts are being offered is:
