An Israeli official stated on Sunday that the gaps between Israel and Hamas "remain large," making it uncertain whether an agreement will be reached soon, according to Israeli media.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation quoted the official as saying, "The prevailing assessment is that pressure will eventually lead Hamas to accept the proposal to bridge the gaps," but he stressed that this is "not guaranteed at all."
