UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk expressed his horror at the Israeli airstrikes and shelling on Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinian civilians, most of them children and women.
Türk said in a statement on Tuesday, "I am horrified by the Israeli airstrikes and shelling on Gaza last night, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds, according to the Ministry of Health in the Strip. This will add tragedy to tragedy."
