Gaza – Saba:
Hamas spokesman Abdullatif al-Qanou affirmed on Wednesday that the Zionist enemy's closure of Salah al-Din Road is a complete coup against the agreement and a continuation of the siege of Gaza and the tightening of the noose on its people.
In a press statement, al-Qanou indicated that Gaza is being subjected to genocide, siege, and starvation without regard for the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan or respect for international laws and humanitarian conventions.
Al-Qanou emphasized that the enemy, with American cover and international silence, is destroying life in Gaza and reneging on the signed agreement.
He emphasized that any proposal based on entering into second-phase negotiations and a permanent cessation of hostilities is welcome and open to discussion. He emphasized that they are keen to stop the bloodshed and are open to any efforts leading to a permanent cessation of hostilities and withdrawal from Gaza.
He added that the continuation of the state of war only serves Netanyahu and his political future and threatens the lives of prisoners in Gaza.
Israeli army vehicles began advancing toward Salah al-Din Street and positioning themselves in the center of the Netzarim axis after Wednesday afternoon, while the Egyptian-Qatari security committee withdrew from the axis.
An Israeli army spokesperson said in statements Wednesday evening that the army had carried out a limited ground operation in the central and southern Gaza Strip, with the aim of strengthening security control and establishing a partial buffer zone between the northern and southern parts of the Strip.
