The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading on Wednesday with its general index rising 30.32 points, or 0.38 percent, to reach 7,936.23 points.
A total of 254 million shares were traded through 16,236 spot transactions, valued at KWD 68.7 million (approximately $211.5 million).
The main market index rose 50.38 points, or 0.70 percent, to reach 7,263.91 points, through 123.5 million shares traded through 7,731 spot transactions, valued at KWD 21.5 million (approximately $66.2 million).
The Premier Market Index also rose 26.74 points, or 0.32 percent, to reach 8,496.25 points, through trading of 130.5 million shares, via 8,505 transactions, worth 47.2 million dinars (about 145.3 million dollars).
