Nablus – Saba:

Settlers have attacked worshippers inside the Beit al-Sheikh Mosque in Khirbet Tana, located in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

Thaer Hanani, coordinator of the Popular Committee for the Defense of Khirbet Tana, reported, according to the Palestinian Sanad News Agency, that settlers in military uniforms and under the protection of the Israeli army attacked worshippers inside the Beit al-Sheikh Mosque while they were eating iftar, besieging them while firing bullets into the air.

He added that the settlers abused the worshippers, confiscated their ID cards, assaulted one of them because he refused to give them his ID, and trampled on the iftar table.

This is the second such attack by settlers during the current month of Ramadan on the Beit al-Sheikh Mosque in Tana.

Beit al-Sheikh Mosque is considered one of the oldest mosques dating back to the Ottoman era, dating back approximately 250 years. All that remains in Tana are this mosque and the school, after repeated demolitions carried out by the enemy, which have reached 13 times, and have affected homes, barracks, tents, and caves.
