The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor condemned on Monday the direct targeting carried out by the Israeli occupation army at dawn on Monday against a Palestinian journalists' tent in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. This attack resulted in the death of two people, including a journalist, and the injury of nine other journalists.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor field team documented the deaths of journalist Helmi al-Faqawi, a correspondent for the Palestine Today Agency, and Youssef al-Khazindar, a civilian working as a journalist's assistant. Nine others, including photojournalist Hassan Islayh, were also injured as a result of the direct and unwarned Israeli targeting of the journalists' tent.
