Egyptian media reported last night that popular gatherings began in several governorates heading to the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip, hours before French President Emmanuel Macron's visit tomorrow, Tuesday, to the city of Arish, near the Rafah land crossing.
Egyptian governorates, including Cairo, Beheira, Dakahlia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Gharbia, Menoufia, and Qena, witnessed the start of popular gatherings that will move toward the Rafah crossing, according to the newspapers "Youm7" and "Al-Masry Al-Youm" and the news website "Cairo 24."
Participants in these gatherings raised the Egyptian and Palestinian flags and chanted slogans rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their occupied land and denouncing the crimes of genocide committed by the Israeli enemy against Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
