The Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted a new resolution entitled "Impact and Consequences of the Current Situation in the Gaza Strip."
The resolution, issued by the Council at its 221st session held in Paris, France, emphasized the importance of implementing an urgent assistance program in Gaza.
