Hodeida undersecretary of Hodeida province Mohammed Halisi, accompanied by the Director of the Zakat Office in the province, Mohamed Hazaa, on Monday visited and reviewed the activities and courses being held at several summer centers in Jabal Ras district.
During the inspection, al-Halisi assessed the level of engagement from both students and the wider community with the educational, cultural, and learning programs offered by the centers. He commended the efforts of the educational staff and volunteers in ensuring the success of these summer activities and highlighted the crucial role these courses play in strengthening young people and building generational awareness.
He emphasized that the summer centers form a vital core of the educational process, effectively filling students' time and channeling their energies in ways that reinforce national and religious values and principles, while also countering the "soft war" launched by adversaries to target their faith identity.
The Director of the Zakat Office noted that the strong attendance at the summer centers reflects the community's awareness of the importance of raising a capable generation prepared to face future challenges. He stressed the ongoing need for community support and solidarity to ensure the continued success of these centers.
Furthermore, the Director of the Jabal Ras Directorate, Mutahar al-Nour, reported that the district has 36 active summer centers, all experiencing continuous activity and significant student participation. He acknowledged the substantial contribution of teachers and volunteers in the summer courses.
Mobilization official Saleh al-Sharif affirmed a strong response from parents and the community in encouraging their children to attend these centers, recognizing their importance in safeguarding young people from foreign cultural influences.
In a related development, a meeting chaired by Province Underseccary al-Halisi discussed the plan for monitoring the progress of summer activities within the directorate.
The meeting, which included the Director of the Zakat Office, the Director of the Directorate, the Southern Square Mobilization Officer, Hamza Ayed, and several directors of executive offices and the summer activities official Khaled Abdulwahab, focused on strategies to enhance performance and address any challenges encountered.
