Dhamar - Yemen:
A free five-day medical camp specializing in ophthalmology has been inaugurated on Monday at the Rural Hospital in Wusab al-Safel district of Dhamar province. This is the 63rd such camp organized by the Health Care Association for affected societies, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Environment.
The initiative, part of the association's "Takaful" (solidarity) projects aimed at assisting the poor, was launched in the presence of Shura Council member Dr. Abdo Al-Faqih and Directorate Director Fouad al-Qudaimi. Dr. Nashwan Al-Atab, President of the Association, highlighted the camp's goal of providing essential eye care services, embodying Islamic principles of charity and compassion.
Funded by Yemen Mobile Mobile Company in collaboration with the governorate's health office, the camp aims to conduct inspections and perform 200 eye surgeries, addressing conditions such as cataracts, conjunctiva issues, and fatty eyelid bags. The first two days will focus on examinations and pre-operative assessments for those requiring surgery. Dr. al-Atab expressed his appreciation for Yemen Mobile's financial support of the camp.
