French journalistic groups: Israeli army imposes blackout on Gaza developments
[15/ April/2025]
Paris - Saba:

Journalistic organizations in France denounced the "unprecedented massacre" of their colleagues in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of more than 200 martyrs since October 7, 2023.

These organizations indicated that the Israeli enemy army is seeking to impose a media blackout on Gaza and silence witnesses to the war crimes committed by its forces as much as possible.

In an article published in the French newspaper Le Monde, the organizations emphasized that "this desire to obstruct the dissemination of information is also reflected in the Israeli government's refusal to allow foreign journalists into the Gaza Strip."

These organizations called for "simultaneous demonstrations on Wednesday, in front of the Opéra Bastille in Paris and at the Old Port in Marseille."

Among these organizations are the National Union of Journalists, the General Confederation of Labor, the French Democratic Confederation of Labor, Reporters Without Borders, the International Federation of Journalists, and approximately 40 journalist groups or editorial offices of various media outlets.

Since October 7, 2023, the number of journalists killed in the Gaza Strip has reached 211, according to the government media office in the Strip.

On March 18, the Israeli enemy forces reneged on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in effect since January 19, and resumed their genocidal war on the devastated Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces, with full American support, have been committing genocide in the besieged Palestinian Strip, leaving more than 166,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
