Acting Taiz governor Ahmed al-Masawi, accompanied by province's mobilization officer Mohammed al-Khalidi and province's deputy security director Brigadier General Abd Rabbuh al-Haj, inspected the progress of work at the Civil Defense branch on Tuesday.
They were briefed on the readiness of the Civil Defense branch's staff and technical equipment to respond to any emergency, as well as their expertise in firefighting, rescue operations, and other assigned tasks.
Al-Masawi emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of readiness of the Civil Defense, both at the level of personnel and equipment, to carry out any mission.
They were accompanied by Assistant Director of Security Colonel Saleh Duwaid, Director of Planning and Organization Colonel Zuhair Khasrouf, and Director of the Civil Defense Department, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Sultan.
The Acting Governor of Taiz and the mobilization officer also inspected the Al-Hawban Zoo and its activity, including the level of visitor turnout.
They listened to a briefing from park's director Marzouq al-Halimi on the park's condition and the aesthetic improvements it has undergone, including the rehabilitation of animal shelters and visitor rest areas. Al-Halimi praised the interest and support of the governorate's leadership and the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund for the park.
He explained that the park received more than 45,000 visitors during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
