Bayern Munich announced on Tuesday that veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will miss the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Inter Milan on Wednesday.
The decision came after the German goalkeeper failed to fully recover from his injury.
The Bavarian club said in a statement published on its account on the "X" platform: "Manuel Neuer will not be able to participate (in the Inter Milan game) due to injury, but he will travel to Milan to support his teammates."
Inter Milan beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the first leg, making the Bavarian side's task even more difficult in the second leg.
