Doha - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) welcomed the endorsement by the President of the Republic of Maldives of the decision to ban Zionist settlers from entering his country.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hamas considered this "a courageous step in the right direction, in line with the moral position that rejects the brutal crimes and genocidal war committed by the fascist enemy government against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip."
The movement urged all countries of the world to "emulate the position of the Republic of Maldives and other countries that have sided with the values of justice represented by the Palestinian right, to work to isolate the rogue Zionist entity , make it pay for its crimes , flagrant violations of international laws and humanitarian norms."
Since March 18, the Zionist enemy has resumed its war of annihilation on Gaza, reneging on a 58-day ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas that began on January 19, 2025, mediated by Qatar and Egypt and supported by the United States.
Since October 7, 2023, the enemy forces, with absolute American support, have been committing genocide in the besieged Palestinian Strip, leaving more than 166,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children , women, and more than 11,000 missing.
