The military spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Abu Obeida, announced that contact had been lost with the group capturing Israeli-American soldier Idan Alexander following an Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
Abu Obeida tweeted on his Telegram page: "We announce that we have lost contact with the group capturing Israeli soldier Idan Alexander following a direct bombardment that targeted their location, we are still trying to reach them at this moment."
