The Shura Council has mourned the passing of its member, the struggler and poet Saleh Abdullah Nasser Sail, who passed away at 82 after a life rich in national, political, and literary contributions, and service to society.
In its obituary, the Council praised the late Sail for his commendable virtues, integrity, and dedication in all the roles he held throughout his career. He served as Secretary-General of the Liberation Front Party, a member of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, and a key figure in the Council’s Political and Foreign Relations Committee.
The Council highlighted his contributions as a freedom fighter in the September 26 and October 14 revolutions, his role in achieving Yemeni unity, and his influence on the literary scene through revolutionary and patriotic poetry expressing the aspirations and struggles of the people. He also played a significant role in opposing aggression and supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Shura Council extended its heartfelt condolences to his son, Mohammed Saleh Sail, and all the Sail family in the Lower Markha District of Shabwah Governorate.
