Occupied al-Quds- Saba:

Hamas and Islamic Jihad have affirmed that the assassination of resistance fighters in Jenin on Wednesday strengthens the resistance's resolve to defeat the occupation, and that the resistance will not abandon its duty to confront the occupation and its crimes.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hamas mourned the Jenin martyrs who were killed today by Israeli enemy forces during their raid on the towns of Qabatiya and Misiliya, south of the city.

The statement said: "The occupation is deluded in its belief that its massacres in the West Bank and Gaza Strip will push our people to retreat from defending their land and holy sites and lay down their weapons. It is failing to learn from the experiences of history, which has proven that peoples who defend their freedom and independence cannot be defeated, no matter how many sacrifices they make."

It added, "The brutality of the criminal occupation against Jenin today, as part of its ongoing military aggression for 86 days, and this long record of Nazi crimes, will only strengthen our people and our resistance. The pure blood shed will blossom into victory, liberation, and the expulsion of this occupier from our land and holy sites."

While the movement called on the people of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the occupied Palestinian territories to further rise up against the occupation and its settlers, it emphasized, "This is the time to stand firm and steadfast on this land until our full, undiminished, legitimate rights are achieved."

For its part, Islamic Jihad affirmed in a statement that the assassination of resistance fighters Muhammad Omar Zakarneh and Marouh Yasser Rateb Khuzaymiya in Jenin is a crime that adds to the systematic crimes of the occupation in destroying camps and homes and displacing citizens for the purpose of displacement.

It emphasized, "The resistance forces will not abandon their duty to resist these crimes with all their capabilities and to confront the occupying entity and its brutal practices that violate all moral and humanitarian standards."
