Rabat - Saba:

The Moroccan national team qualified for the final of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, which it is hosting, after defeating Ivory Coast on penalties in the semi-final.

The match ended in a goalless draw after Moroccan goalkeeper Chouaib Belarouch excelled, saving a clear chance from Ivorian striker Alino Haidara.

The referee also disallowed a goal scored by Moroccan striker Ziad Baha in the 66th minute for offside.

The two teams went to penalty kicks, which Morocco won 4-3, thanks to the brilliance of goalkeeper Belarouch, who was named Man of the Match.

The Moroccan national team will meet Mali in the final next Saturday, after they advanced to the final against Burkina Faso with a 2-0 victory. Côte d'Ivoire will face Burkina Faso in the bronze medal match the day after tomorrow, Friday.

Ten teams have qualified from this tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next November: Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, Uganda, Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal, Zambia, and South Africa.
