The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading on Wednesday with its general index rising by 7.90 points, or 0.10 percent, to reach 7,813.34 points.
A total of 282.5 million shares were traded through 20,603 spot transactions, valued at KWD 87.11 million ($266.5 million).
The main market index rose by 7.98 points, or 0.11 percent, to reach 7,145.30 points, with 129.5 million shares traded through 7,927 spot transactions, valued at KWD 24.17 million ($7.9 million).
The Premier Market Index added 8.27 points, or 0.10 percent, to reach 8,365.98 points, through 153 million shares traded in 12,676 transactions, valued at KWD 62.9 million ($192.4 million).
The Main 50 Index gained 49.55 points, or 0.72 percent, to reach 6,954.52 points, through 112.19 million shares traded in 6,703 cash transactions, valued at KWD 20.6 million ($63 million).
