Supreme Political Council member Sultan Al-Samai and Shura Council Chairman Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos participated in the funeral of activist and poet Saleh Abdullah Sa'il, a member of the Shura Council, who passed away after a life full of national and political contributions.
The attendees, including a number of official and party leaders, praised the deceased's roles in combating British colonialism, his participation in the September 26 and October 14 revolutions, and his contribution to the re-establishment of Yemeni unity in 1990. They also praised his patriotic stances in confronting the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and his literary creativity, which documented the steadfastness of the Yemeni people.
Mourners emphasized that Yemen has lost a unique national and literary figure with Sa'il's passing, noting his leadership positions, including Secretary-General of the Liberation Front Party and member of the Shura Council's Political Committee.
Prayers for the deceased were held at Al-Khair Mosque in the capital, Sana'a, and he was buried in the Majel Al-Damma Cemetery, in the presence of a large number of political and tribal leaders from Shabwa and the southern and eastern governorates.
