In coordination with the Ministries of Health, Environment and Foreign Affairs, the Camps Department of the Ministry of Health and its office in Hajjah province, Noor Al Ain Camp launched on Thursday, at Abs Hospital, a free camp for cataract removal and lens implantation.
The camp, which is implemented in two days by the International Sight Charity Foundation and Mecca Eye Hospital, funded by the Direct Aid Society, aims to perform 460 cataract operations.
At the launch, the director of the health office in the province, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlani, praised the integrated efforts exerted in implementing the camp to alleviate the suffering of those affected in the Tihama districts.
He praised the interest of the Ministries of Health, Environment and Foreign Affairs and their keenness to support poor and needy cases to remove cataracts and implant lenses, especially under the current circumstances.
