Hamas: Martyrdom of Adili proves brutality of Enemy’s Treatment of Prisoners
[18/ April/2025]

Gaza – SABA:

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stated that the death of prisoner Musab Hassan Adili, 20, at Soroka Hospital last night is further proof of the enemy’s persistence in retaliating against and torturing detainees, amid its ongoing policy of medical neglect, which amounts to slow execution of prisoners within Israeli jails.

In a press statement issued Thursday, Hamas mourned the martyr Musab Adili, emphasizing that this crime, which occurred on the eve of Palestinian Prisoners' Day and just days before his scheduled release, underscores the escalating crimes of the occupation against prisoners.

The movement highlighted that the number of martyred detainees since the beginning of the genocidal war has now reached 63, describing this as an alarming and unprecedented figure. It reflects the enemy’s continued abuse and aggression against prisoners, blatantly ignoring all legal and humanitarian calls demanding humane treatment as stipulated by international conventions and norms.

Hamas warned against the continuation of this criminal policy, stressing that the presence of thousands of detainees under inhumane conditions — including torture, starvation, and medical neglect — puts them at risk of becoming the next victims at any moment.

The movement reiterated its call to all free people around the world, as well as to human rights organizations and legal bodies, to pressure the enemy and hold it accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, and to stand in solidarity with the prisoners who are enduring harsh and tragic conditions.
