The Kremlin announced on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a truce in the area of the Russian special military operation to begin on the occasion of Easter, and to halt all operations during the holiday.
Putin said in a meeting with Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov: "Based on humanitarian considerations, the Russian side is declaring a truce during Easter from 6:00 PM (Saturday evening) until midnight Sunday to Monday. I order the cessation of all military movements during this period."
