Eight soldiers were killed in an attack by gunmen on Benin army positions in the W National Park on the border with Burkina Faso and Niger.
Military sources said on Saturday that eight dead and 13 wounded were recorded in the ranks of the armed forces in an attack on two positions in W National Park.
Eleven militants were confirmed dead.
