The Agriculture Sector in Dhamar province organized on Saturday a workshop on correcting, updating and entering agricultural expansion data according to modern models.
The workshop was attended by 65 directors of agriculture branches in the directorates, agricultural associations, and development knights in the directorates.
At the opening of the workshop, Deputy Governor Ali Atif emphasized the importance of the workshop and its role in correcting farmers' data and the volume of expansion in plant production.
Dr. Adel Omar, head of the governorate's agriculture sector, pointed out that the workshop aims to review the manuals and forms for farmers, update and correct their data according to the updated forms, and provide participants with skills and expertise on how to enter farmers' data into the electronic system prepared for this purpose.
He emphasized the role of agriculture branches, associations, development knights, and Bunyan Development Foundation coordinators in providing participants with the skills and expertise needed to successfully expand the cultivation of staple crops, improve natural resource management, and promote the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices.
He stressed the importance of identifying and evaluating the cadres of the agricultural and water sectors at the province and district levels, as well as identifying the machinery and equipment belonging to the agricultural sector, evaluating them, identifying their needs for maintenance and new equipment.
