Oman's Foreign Ministry spokesman announced that the United States and Iran reached a consensus during the Rome talks on moving to the next stage of negotiations with the aim of reaching a fair, lasting and binding agreement.
The Omani Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Saturday that the meetings between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff, through Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, resulted in the parties agreeing to move to a new phase of talks.
He added that dialogue and clear communication are the only way to achieve a credible understanding and agreement that serves the interest of all parties at the regional and international levels, explaining that the next round of talks will be held in Muscat in the next few days.
