[20/ April/2025]
Sana'a - Saba:
The Petroleum Stations Owners Union condemned in the strongest terms the criminal US airstrikes that targeted civilian facilities in the Ras Issa oil port, which resulted in the martyrdom of 80 workers, employees , drivers and the injury of more than 150 others, in a preliminary toll that is likely to rise.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Union considered this brutal aggression on civilian oil facilities used by the Yemeni people to secure their needs for oil derivatives, a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of international , humanitarian laws that prohibit the targeting of vital infrastructure and civilian objects.

The Union warned of the catastrophic consequences of this targeting, which does not harm any faction or group, but affects the lives of millions of Yemeni people and increases their humanitarian suffering.

It emphasized that the continued international silence in the face of these crimes has encouraged the aggressor to persist in targeting civilians and service facilities.

The Petroleum Stations Owners Union holds the United States fully responsible for this crime, stressing that this crime will not fall under the statute of limitations, and the Yemeni people will continue to remember it, seek by all legitimate means to document it and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The Union called on the international community, the United Nations, humanitarian organizations to take an urgent , firm stance towards this heinous crime, work to hold the perpetrators accountable and ensure that it is not repeated.
