Occupied Quds - Saba:
Israeli authorities have prepared indictments against 22 Palestinians, accusing them of participating in battles that took place inside Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, this step comes after military intelligence and the Shin Bet (General Security Service) obtained new material from within the Gaza Strip over the past few months.
The newspaper indicated that Israeli authorities have informed the United States of developments in this campaign, explaining that the Israeli Attorney General's Office plans to file a mass indictment against hundreds of fighters from the elite unit.
An Israeli police source explained that "some of the arrested fighters' locations were identified, and when the Shin Bet entered those areas, such as Rafah, for example, it was able to obtain evidence against them."
So far, approximately 300 Palestinian fighters have been arrested, identified to varying degrees as having participated in Operation Protective Edge. Some were arrested inside the occupied territories on October 7, while others were arrested during the Israeli army's ground operations in Gaza, according to Israeli sources.
