The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor announced on Sunday that it had sent a message to the foreign ministers of the European Union countries urging them to take urgent action to stop the genocide in Gaza.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a statement: "We explained to the European ministers the details of Israel's deliberate targeting of civilians in Gaza, depriving them of basic necessities, and various acts that meet all the elements of the crime of genocide."
The Monitor noted: "We informed the European ministers that despite the enormous human and material losses, there is still a chance to prevent further deterioration if the European Union chooses to take action and take a decisive stance on this matter."
The Monitor emphasized that what is currently happening in Gaza is not merely a return to war, but an escalation of the genocidal war.
The Monitor called on the European Union to impose economic, diplomatic, and military sanctions and to suspend the Association Agreement with Israel to compel it to stop the genocide in Gaza.
He called on the European Union to support the International Court of Justice's work to hold Israeli officials accountable for war crimes against civilians in Gaza.
