Sana'a - Saba:
The Shura Council has strongly condemned the brutal crime committed by the US aggression, which directly struck Farwa neighborhood and market, a densely populated shopping area in Shu'ub district of the capital Sana'a. The aggression attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of dozens, primarily children and women, and caused significant damage to civilian properties.
In a statement released, the Council denounced the continued targeting of civilians, residential areas, and civilian infrastructure by the US aggression as a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.
The Council asserted that the targeting of a residential neighborhood and a popular market constitutes a "crime against humanity and a full-fledged war crime that cannot be excused by time. They stated that this latest incident adds to a series of deliberate US crimes against the Yemeni people, exposing the alleged hypocrisy of American claims regarding human rights protection.
The Shura Council held America fully responsible for the attack on residential areas and civilian facilities and its humanitarian consequences for the Yemeni people. It affirmed the Yemeni Armed Forces' right to confront and respond to American crimes and brutality through all available means.
The Council reiterated that the ongoing American escalation and brutal massacres against the Yemeni people would only strengthen their resolve to continue supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and their cause.
The statement also criticized the shameful Arab, Islamic, and international silence regarding American crimes against the Yemeni people, given their support for Palestinians facing a war of genocide by the Israeli enemy.
The Shura Council called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and its humanitarian agencies to take immediate action, condemn the blatant American aggression, and demand that American leaders be held accountable and tried as "war criminals" before international courts.
