Cairo - Saba:
The Muslim Council of Elders condemned the extremist inflammatory calls by Israeli settlement organizations calling for the bombing of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Council, headed by Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, affirmed its categorical rejection of such extremist calls, which constitute a provocation to the feelings of nearly two billion Muslims around the world and constitute a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions.
It also condemns the violations against Christians in Jerusalem, including the denial of access to churches and physical assaults.
