On Monday evening, Palestinian crowds in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate held a funeral procession for martyr Wael Basem Mohammed Ghafri, 48, as he was laid to rest in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah.
Ghafri was martyred earlier in the day due to suffocation caused by toxic gas fired by Zionist forces while protecting dozens of settlers who stormed Sinjil.
The funeral procession began at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah and moved toward his home in the town. Mourners carried the martyr’s body, draped in the Palestinian flag, through the town's streets, chanting angry slogans condemning the crimes of the Zionist forces and settlers against the Palestinian people. Funeral prayers were held before he was buried in the town's cemetery.
