Jabal Ras District Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association in Hodeida province launched on Tuesday the marketing of 40 tons of corn crop, as part of efforts to enhance local production and promote agricultural crops.
The launch was attended by the representative of the agricultural sector in the province, Hassan Al-Yami; the Director of Jabal Ras District, Mutahar Al-Nour; the Association’s Chairman, Baha Al-Din Al-Amrani; and the Executive Director of the Association, Abdulnasser Al-Junaid.
Al-Yami emphasized the importance of this step in revitalizing agricultural activity and marketing crops to contribute to food security, praising the Association’s efforts in expanding production and organizing cooperative agricultural work in the district.
For his part, District Director Mutahar Al-Nour stressed the importance of supporting agricultural associations, especially under the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing, commending the Association’s initiative in organizing agricultural marketing operations based on effective cooperative principles.
Meanwhile, the Association’s Chairman affirmed that the marketed quantity is the result of integrated efforts between farmers and supporting entities, noting that the Association is working to improve crop quality and expand marketing channels to benefit local producers.
The Executive Director of the Association explained that the Association seeks to enhance farmers' capabilities and provide suitable marketing opportunities for their crops, calling for further support to the agricultural sector due to its vital role in sustainable development.
