The Islamic Bloc in West Bank universities condemned the arrest campaign carried out by the Palestinian Authority's security forces against several students from An-Najah National University and Birzeit University over the past few days.
Among those arrested were Jihad Ahmad, Amid Hijazi, Yahya al-Quqa, Ahmad Ubaid, Saeed Khuffash, and Imad al-Baz (later released).
The arrests also included: Suhaib Awidat, Saed al-Amleh, Nader Awidat, and Fadi al-Amleh, some of whom were assaulted in their homes and later released.
The bloc denounced these arrests, describing them as serving the enemy's agenda, questioning the silence of the security services amid the Israeli escalation in the West Bank and Gaza.
The bloc demanded the immediate release of political detainees, holding the Palestinian Authority responsible for the torture of detainees and their safety.
