Moscow - Saba:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that his country is ready to conclude an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
In statements reported by the Russian news agency TASS, Lavrov said, "US President Donald Trump indicated in his statements that an agreement has been concluded, and we are ready to reach an agreement, but there are still some specific points, elements of this agreement, that require scrutiny, and we are working on this delicate process."
He added, "There are several indications that we are moving in the right direction," at a time when the US President's arduous negotiations over the Crimean issue are witnessing tension.
Trump had expressed his hope of reaching an agreement on a Ukrainian settlement within the current week, and said on Wednesday that he had set timeframes for talks on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, but he did not disclose them.
