Sana'a - Saba:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Friday affirmed that the United States' pathetic attempt to evade responsibility for the crimes it is committing in Yemen aims to cover up its sinful aggression and its crimes against civilians and civilian objects, which are shameful to humanity, as well as to cover up its abject failure in Yemen.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified in a statement that since the middle of last month, the United States has launched more than 1,200 airstrikes and naval shelling, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of civilians and the destruction of numerous civilian objects, including residential neighborhoods, ports, health facilities, water reservoirs, and archaeological sites, in flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The statement pointed out that what America is doing in Yemen is a full-fledged aggression and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and all international norms and conventions.
It said, "The world is no longer fooled by American deception and lies and now knows that America has a criminal record on human rights and that its hands are stained with the blood of innocents in many parts of the world."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its call for the formation of an independent international investigation committee to investigate all crimes committed by the United States against Yemen and the Yemenis.
