[26/ April/2025]

Sana'a – Saba – Maher Al-Khulani:

An intense movement, growing turnout, great enthusiasm, and high spirits—these are the hallmarks of the summer courses in the Capital Secretariat, characterized by diverse and purposeful activities, beneficial knowledge, and religious, cultural, and scientific development.

The courses yield substantial benefits and outcomes, supported by strong community engagement and official attention.

Such achievements would not have been possible without the official support and the growing public awareness of the importance of these summer courses, having witnessed their positive impacts firsthand. Consequently, parents are now eager to enroll their children in these beneficial programs.

Across neighborhoods and districts of the Capital Secretariat, summer course venues have become bustling hubs of educational, cultural, scientific, athletic, and social activity. The goal is to nurture a generation armed with awareness, insight, Quranic culture, and faith identity—a generation driven by responsibility to uplift their society and champion the causes of their nation.

Besides making productive use of summer vacations, the courses aim to broaden students' horizons, develop their skills across various fields, discover and refine their talents and creativity for the benefit of themselves, their families, society, and the nation.

These programs also serve to protect the younger generations with knowledge and understanding against the dangers of the so-called "soft wars," misleading cultures, and deviant ideologies, especially as enemies target these generations with destructive conspiracies aimed at deception, corruption, and control.

Growing Turnout

The primary motivation for these summer courses stems from the religious responsibility of building and educating the rising generation, following the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the guidance of the Supreme Political Council.

Today, society in the Capital Secretariat and beyond is more aware than ever of the importance of these summer initiatives, as evidenced by the increasing number of students enrolling.

In all neighborhoods and districts, students enthusiastically compete to reap the intellectual, cultural, educational, and physical rewards of these programs, benefiting both the community and the nation by helping forge a generation rooted in faith, awareness, knowledge, and science.

The diversity of activities has fueled students' excitement and inspired active participation across scientific, athletic, recreational, cultural, agricultural, creative, and social fields.

Official Interest and Community Engagement

These courses enjoy unprecedented official and societal support, delivering a strong message to the enemies of Yemen and the Ummah: they will never succeed in subjugating the upcoming generations. Rather, these generations will thwart enemy conspiracies and lead the nation towards progress and development.

High-level field visits by state and government leaders, heads and members of the Houses of Representatives, Ministers, the Shura Council, judiciary bodies, public institutions, local authorities, secretariat agents, executive office directors, community leaders, and social figures underline this commitment.

Such engagement reflects a high level of awareness and synergy between official and societal spheres, emphasizing everyone's sense of responsibility to support and ensure the success of these courses and activities in cultivating a generation well-equipped with knowledge, Quranic culture, and a strong faith identity.

Good Organization and Diverse Activities

One of the distinguishing features of the summer courses is the excellent organization and wide range of educational, cultural, athletic, and recreational activities. Students acquire a vast array of knowledge, skills, and polished talents.

Hundreds of daily, weekly, and specialized activities have already been implemented across all districts under the outstanding organization and supervision of thousands of educators and administrators, demonstrating the courses' advanced organizational capacity.

Activities include Quran memorization contests, academic and athletic competitions, oratory, poetry, chanting, theater, sports, cultural events, and scientific innovations, along with talent development.

Students also engage in recreational, craft, and agricultural activities, practical lessons, social, environmental, and humanitarian initiatives, cleaning campaigns, and visits to martyrs' cemeteries and historic mosques, among others.

Throughout their time in these courses, students experience a faith-filled environment enriched with good values and ethics, learning cooperation, generosity, integrity, and Islamic brotherhood.

A Message to the Enemies

The Capital’s Mayor, Dr. Hamoud Obad, emphasized that the widespread community participation is a clear and powerful message to the enemies of Yemen and the Ummah: the Yemeni people are ready to confront them, generation after generation, by building strong generations armed with knowledge, awareness, and Quranic culture.

He noted that the growing turnout reflects parents’ increased awareness of the great benefits and significant gains their children obtain through these programs during the summer vacation.

Dr. Obad stressed that what students learn during the courses shapes their personalities, enhances their behavior, and helps them become active members of society and the nation. Moreover, the courses help refine their talents and develop their creative and practical skills.

He praised the significant efforts of the educational cadres and the official and community support, considering it the cornerstone of the nation's resistance against its enemies.

Fortifying Against Intellectual Invasion

For his part, the First Undersecretary of the Secretariat and Head of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities, Khaled Al-Madani, described the summer courses as a defensive front thwarting enemy plans aimed at corrupting the new generation and diverting it from its faith path. These programs, he said, uplift the youth and enlighten them with Quranic knowledge, enabling real change in their lives.

He highlighted the lofty goals of the courses in protecting young people from the dangers of intellectual invasion, soft warfare, and misleading, deviant cultures intended to subdue future generations.

Al-Madani characterized the summer programs as beacons of knowledge, instilling the values of dignity, freedom, and independence—the same values championed by the September 21st Revolution. He pointed out their vital role in raising generations guided by God and the Quran, committed to promoting good and forbidding evil, as commanded by God Almighty.

He explained that these courses stem from an educational vision rooted in Quranic culture and the faith identity of the Yemeni people. They aim to build a generation capable of critical thinking, responsibility, and moral excellence, equipped with the skills needed to understand enemy conspiracies and counter them, while being fortified against Zionist and misleading influences through media, social networks, and screens.

Al-Madani concluded by affirming that the Yemeni people are now more aware than ever of the enemies' plots, as reflected by the increasing annual enrollment in summer courses and the keen commitment of parents to have their children participate.
