Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex warns of severe deterioration in Gaza's Health Sector

Gaza - SABA:

Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, has warned of the severe deterioration in Gaza's health sector due to the critical shortage of medicines and medical supplies, caused by the enemy authorities' blockade on humanitarian and medical aid.

In press statements on Saturday, Abu Salmiya confirmed that this situation has led to an unprecedented decline in public health conditions, severely impacting medical services provided to the wounded, patients, and citizens.

Abu Salmiya described Gaza's health conditions as "extremely dangerous," stressing that the continued blockade and aid restrictions are worsening the crisis and crippling hospital operations.

Over 43% of kidney failure patients in Gaza have died due to a lack of treatment.
Children suffer from weakened immunity due to malnutrition and prolonged absence of fruits, vegetables, and healthy food.

Most medical labs in Gaza are out of service after systematic targeting by the enemy.
Hospitals face severe shortages of emergency and surgical supplies, including anesthesia.

Many hospital admissions are linked to malnutrition-related illnesses.
The enemy resumed its genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, violating the January 19 ceasefire and prisoner-exchange agreement, despite Hamas' compliance.
