Executive Director of the Yemen Organization for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control Sam al-Bashiri on Sunday inspected the operational procedures at Nihm Control Center in Sana'a province.
Al-Bashiri received a briefing from the Center Director Engineer Malik al-Bousi and staff regarding workflow efficiency, control and inspection procedures, and efforts to strengthen oversight of imported goods, aligning with the Authority's development plan and government directives.
The Authority's Director emphasized the need to accelerate procedures using the unified window with Customs, electronic systems, and "Tasheel" e-portal launched earlier this year. This aims to streamline processes for all commercial stakeholders, prioritize consumer health and safety, and bolster the national economy.
He stressed adherence to approved standard specifications and technical regulations, commending the center's staff for their performance in protecting consumers from counterfeit and non-conforming goods.
