A meeting held on Sunday in Amran province, chaired by Governor Faisal Ja'man, reviewed the progress of the Executive Unit for Qat Tax and mechanisms for collecting tax revenues.
The meeting, attended by Secretary-General of the Local Council Saleh Al-Makhlous and Unit Director Mujahid Al-Husseini, examined the first-quarter report of 2025 on revenue collection and coverage across various regions and markets.
Governor Ja'man emphasized the need for further efforts to enhance performance and monitor revenue collection at all checkpoints and markets.
He also highlighted the local authority’s readiness to address challenges facing the unit to improve tax collection mechanisms and boost revenue.
Meanwhile, Director of the Executive Unit for Qat Sales Tax, Al-Husseini, and Director of Financial Affairs Taha Al-Hazoura outlined key priorities for the upcoming work plan. They noted the unit’s positive results in increasing tax revenues during the first quarter, praising the local leadership’s support in overcoming operational challenges.
