Hebron - Saba:
Zionist settlers renewed their attacks on Zanuta School, one of the schools of steadfastness and defiance, east of al-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, on Sunday, destroying and stoling its contents.
Head of the Zanuta Village Council Fayez al-Tal told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that a number of settlers destroyed what had been renovated at Zanuta School with the participation of the village council and residents, and prepared to receive students.
Al-Tal explained that the settlers stole iron doors for classrooms, blackboards, and partitions between classrooms before destroying the school.
He noted that the settlers had attacked and destroyed the school several times, and worked to forcibly displace the village residents after destroying their homes and assaulting them and their property.
In November 2023, settlers burned and destroyed Zanuta Mixed Elementary School, south of Hebron, after repeatedly forcing more than 250 residents of the village to leave their homes and lands on October 28, 2023.
After more than nine months of forced displacement, in August 2024, the residents were able to obtain a court order from the Israeli occupation authorities to return to their homes.
