Public hearings for an advisory opinion on Israel's obligations towards the United Nations and its agencies and bodies in the occupied Palestinian territories began at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, on Monday.
According to the Palestinian WAFA News Agency, the five-day legal marathon will begin with UN representatives beginning their pleadings before the court's 15-judge panel. The State of Palestine will be the first to present its case, along with Egypt and Malaysia, for most of the day.
