A number of children were seriously injured and more than ten of them lost limbs, following an Israeli enemy airstrike that targeted a house inhabited by internally displaced persons (IDPs) near Abu Asi School in al-Shati camp, west of Gaza City, on Thursday evening.
According to al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper, all the injured were transferred to al-Shifa Medical Complex, while eyewitnesses described the scene as "tragic" amid intensive efforts to save the lives of the injured children.
Two citizens were martyred and others were injured on Thursday evening in Israeli enemy shelling of al-Shati camp, west of Gaza City.
The Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported that the bombing targeted the home of al-Hawajri family, killing two citizens and wounding 19 others, most of them children.
This raid comes as part of the ongoing escalation of Israeli aggression against various areas of the Gaza Strip for weeks, resulting in an increasing number of civilian casualties, most of whom are women and children.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, killing 57,762 civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and wounding 137,656 others.
This is a preliminary toll, as a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
