New York - Saba:
The United Nations announced the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip for the first time in 130 days.
This was stated by UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric during his daily press conference on Thursday evening.
Dujarric explained that a UN team was able to enter Gaza from Israel on Wednesday, carrying 75,000 liters of fuel.
He added, "This is the first time in 130 days that fuel has been resupplied in the Gaza Strip."
Dujarric noted that the amount of fuel that reached Gaza did not even cover one day's needs.
He warned that fuel in Gaza was running out, and that all services could be halted as a result.
