Croatian star Luka Modric has officially announced his departure from Real Madrid after 13 years filled with titles and achievements, in a touching farewell that stirred the emotions of fans.
In a message posted on the club's official accounts and platforms, Modric said on Friday: "An unforgettable era has come to an end, full of emotions and victories. Real Madrid has given me everything, and for that, I will remain indebted to them for the rest of my life."
The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner added: "It has been a long but exceptional journey. I have always felt at home here in Madrid. Achievements are unforgettable, but the impact on people's hearts is what matters most."
