Gold Rises to Three-Week High

Singapore - Saba:

Gold prices rose to their highest level in three weeks during early trading on Monday, supported by a rush toward safe-haven assets following U.S. President Donald Trump's threat to impose tariffs on imports from the European Union and Mexico.

Spot gold climbed 0.5% to $3,371.34 per ounce, marking its highest level since June 23.

U.S. gold futures jumped 0.7% to $3,386.20.

Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.4% to $38.49 per ounce. Platinum fell 1.1% to $1,384, while palladium dropped 1.7% to $1,194.40.
