The United States supports a proposal for a 60-day ceasefire, which includes the phased release of prisoners in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from specific areas of the Strip, and the resumption of negotiations aimed at ending the conflict once and for all.
On July 6, negotiations between Hamas and Israel resumed in Doha, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, with the aim of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
